Happy New Year- Variations on a Theme

Oh My! it has been a while since i posted anything on my long neglected blog :(
I do do a lot of bits and bobs, but what with running the shop most days, time often runs away with me. I created 3 variations on a theme for our Creative Team challenge, and used my Gel plate to create backgrounds, plus a stencil from PaperArtsy's artist Sara Naumann. I also used our own mini stencils, and calligraphic mat. Colour blue, as always lol

Bring on 2019!
Happy Creating xx

Stencils & Masks for The Artistic Stamper Creative Challenge

Hi! ooh not done my blog in ages, but just sharing a tag I made for The Artistic Stamper's Creative Team Challenge.
It is snowing here in Kent this week, and as my favourite flowers are Daffodils, i though I would make a tag using our stencil of them.

Lots of Distress Oxides in the background, followed by Distress Oxides on the daffodil stencil. Add clear moulding paste through the stencil on top of the oxides, which makes them pull through and colour the daffodils.
Dry. add a ribbon. Voila!

Hope this gives you a bit of inspiration , and that you can join in with our March challenge.
Spring is coming...

June's Creative Challenge- Red, Blue & Yellow

Dear Neglected Blog and Blog Readers
I am so sorry I haven't posted on here for about 6 months. How terrible is that?!
I am back with a little post for our Creative Team Challenge for this month which is Red, Blue & yellow, and can be interpreted anyway you like, as long as it has rubber stamping in it.
You can find all the details here

I made a couple of tags, and started by scraping PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paints all over the tags.

I then added the same paint through a couple of  Artistic Stamper masks, and stamped with one of our calligraphic mats using Archival ink, adding swirls and circles too .

Check out the fact that red, blue and yellow are the primary colours, and therefore makes other colours!

I do hope that you like them, and please do join in our challenge, either on the blog or on Facebook.

I look forward to seeing your creations.
Have a creative day

December's Creative Team Challenge-Christmas

This month for our Creative Team Challenge the theme is Christmas.
I dug out a very old but fab die from Accucut and made some simple but effective gift boxes. The red one was embossed with Christmas Strippers from The Artistic Stamper, and then gone over with red Distress Ink I added the mini Small but Beautiful Father Christmas on the side. T
he green one was stamped  and embossed in green with the large Holly Background  and coloured in with with Lucky Clover Distress Marker. I then distress inked all over it with the new November colour -- Lucky Clover. Worked a treat. If you would like any of these dies, small or large please email me.

Looking forward to seeing your Christmas creations over at the team blog challenge

Have a creative day

The Artistic Stamper Creative Challenge for November

Hi!
This month, the challenge over on The Creative Team blog is Fabric. We have so many gorgeous background stamps that are fabric related that I thought i would make a card that incorporated as many as possible.
I cut out card squares to fit an 8" x 8" card, and stamped them all up with Archival inks, and distress inks. I also white embossed the lace backgrounds, and then distress inked them. Finally I glued them all down, and zig zag machine stitched them onto the card, giving it a patchworky feel.
Here is the card, plus each individual block...

I would love to know which is your favourite... mine is the lace, or maybe the red polka dot...lol
Please do join in the challenge. You can interpret it anyway you like, as long as it has some stamping in it.

Have a creative day

Creative Team Challenge- Things with Wings

Dear neglected Blog readers,
I have been creating workshops, and working in the shop, and neglecting this poor old blog and my readers for quite some time! However this month, I have taken part in the Creative Team challenge , which is Things With Wings, and unbeknown to any of the team, we all chose the same stamp set! Dance is a conglomeration of ballet and wings and saying, and lends itself perfectly to this challenge!

I used a previously created tag, which was inked with Distress inks, and embossing powder through mask.

I then cut out the ballet dancer and added distress ink to her, plus some fine netting ( available in the shop only).

The wings were cut out of old dictionary paper.

Please do pop along to the Creative Team blog, and check out the other dancers :)

Have a very creative day
