Woohoo! August has finally arrived and thank heavens we do seem to be getting a summer here in the UK!
This month's challenge over on the Creative Team blog is all about holidays! the theme is Postcards, Travels and Holidays. The girls have done some gorgeous projects and mine is a take on a class taught by Georgina at The Shop!
I took one of our tag postcards, and added some Dylusions Sprays. I then added the European map background, and lots of ephemera from the Labels Stamps stamped with Archival and distressed with Distress ink. I added some of the stickers and rubs elements and words from Tim Holtz's idea-ology, and I used the words from Katy Fox's Carte Postale to add the other side.
Now for those of you who spot it, I have made a mistake, and as I had done the other side, I really couldn't change it. So for those who spot it, and mention it in a comment I will give away a set of the stamps that I have used. I will pick a winner next week, so watch this space!
Don't' forget to pop over to the Creative Team blog and check out the challenge... we would love you to join in :)
Hope you have a very creative day and if you are on holiday, have a sunny one!
Hugs

Your tag postcard is lovely Jennie! I especially like the bright colours you used, but I see that the text on the left side of the back of the card was stamped upside down - perhaps you were dreaming of a holiday down under?!
Gorgeous artwork and colors! I knew the text on the postcard didn't look right but didn't realize it was upside down until I saw Lynn's comment.
I noticed that you have stamped the message on the left hand side, upside down!
However, it is a great piece od art
Whoops! I mean it is a great piece of art!
Great postcards- obviously you are writing from Australia cos your words are stamped upside down... happy summer!!
This is gorgeous, I love the colours. The script is stamped upside down, but I would say that's artistic licence, not a mistake. :)
I love a challenge in finding things wrong in pictures! So without peaking I see the text is stamped upside down to the left of the addressee!
Love the colors
It still looks great even if it has been stamped upside down! I'd make out its from a fairy on her hols & that's how they write! ;)
Lovely design but the writing on the postcard is upside down which I quite like actually!

Love these stamps since we used them in the workshop on Saturday. The writing on the left of the postcard is upside down - so easy to do!
Have fingers crossed I'll be lucky!
Janet
You know nobody would have noticed the upside-down writing on your postcard but it made us all look a lot more closely at your great work! Brilliant. Margie x
Love the neutral ephemera against those vivid blues and greens - fab!

Love the tag and those stamps are wonderful - even when the script is stamped upside down!! (that's my favourite trick :-D )
I think the error is printing the message upsidedown. Perhaps you were dreaming of Australia?!
Love the artwork - so vibrant. AnnieS.
