Construction card

Today is a day to celebrate as my DH , aka The Packing Pixie lol (a nickname I gave him when I left him in charge when I travelled to the USA earlier in the year!!) is celebrating his birthday today. I did go shopping yesterday but got no further than my local high street, as I got him one of those multi fangled watches ( you know the type that has lots of dials, and buttons!) , so my trip to TK Maxx's and Hobby crafts was severely disrupted! Mind you I suppose I could have gone, but decided the time was better spent making a card for him, and a couple of other friends who have a birthday today and tomorrow :) Happy Birthday Wendy and Caroline for tomorrow! Cards are not my forte, and I struggle to make them.. give me a wooden box and some stamps, and I am happy. Give me a folded piece of paper and ask me to make a card, and I just look at it, and ponder!! Maybe I should take classes? However lurking in my boxes, I knew that I had picked up some tools ages ago, and I used these and some new steampunk stamps from Julia Andrus, and cobbled together a card for Mal. I have shown it the way up I made it but he immediately turned it around, so opinions please.. upright or sideways? lol

I will be back tomorrow with my find of the week.... :)
Have a Creative day

Fab embellies on this card Jennie, I am not really a card maker either, find it really challenging ! It should be sideways I think......but don't know why?

I like the ruler at the bottom. It's a good card, nothing the matter with it. Hope the packing pixie has a good birthday. :)

I can't believe you think you can't make cards because you make great ones: all those tags. I mean your tags frequently make me drool and if you stick one on a card for something anyone would love to receive. And the nice thing is you can cut the shaped part off or not. We never see our art as others do!

Happy Birthday Pixie. A great card Jennie, but I think sideways too.

I 'think' I prefer it sideways but I am really not sure, just asked DH and he prefres the upright one - still that's men for you. Contrary!

Hope he has a good day.

Man cards are murder!Love those tools. Look like the real thing.None of my lot are real DIYers so tools are not suitable for them-or cars or football or beer or golf or sailing or fishing.Get the picture.Hugs BettyXXX

Fab card Jennie! If it's sideways, the tools won't hang proper! Lol! Looks good either way to me! Happy birthday Mal the Pixie! x

Could go either way! Play it safe and write your message inside going both directions, LOL, could be rather amusing! but a great card in any case. I'm sure he'll Love it!
