woyww-tea and sympathy

Hello, and welcome to the the first post I have written in a week! Today is the middle of the week, the day that we show our desks to the world at What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday,  and in my case..not! I have spent the last week, doing???? Well, last Wednesday I met a road kerb, and believe it or not broke my big toe! For those of you who have never done this, it is painful, and means you cannot lift much as it is a load bearing toe! there's fact for you! On Friday I played the white van man, and had to drive to Port Sunlight-fab show as always! I love this show as I get to re- meet lotsof clever friends, including Sarah Anderson, who managed to get published in Stamper Sampler this month.. check this out! She used The Artistic Stamper stamps!

and here is a little photo of one of the samples I made on Saturday using the new alcohol inks from Letraset, which will be on the website later today!

On Sunday I rested, and on Monday it was back to work! Now normally I would show my desk here, but not much is happening, so last night I went to a crop, and here is my equally boring desk from there as I spent it gluing pages together for an altered book!

Of course, I had to break my toe ( poor toe! lol) on the week that I am heading up to Harrogate to take a workshop with Dina Wakley! So please forgive me if I am not here this week, but I promise normal service will be resumed soon!
Now please hop, skip and jump to Julia's for all those magnificent desks!
have a very creative day, I am off to get get a cup of tea!
Hugs

Hi there. Just a quick peek around the door this week as time is definitely not on my side! I did want to visit though. Ouch for the toe, been there and done that! Enjoy the rest of the week.

I can sympathise too, I broke my big toe or should I say I had my big toe broken in a swimming pool when some big ooff jumped on it! I had my 3 kids with me 1 being in a push chair at the time and had to walk half a mile home, it took ages, thank goodness I had a pushchair to hold on to!
Have a great time at Dinas workshop, lucky you!

OUCH! I hope you manage a speedy recovery Jennie! I know it is not fun! I fell UP the stairs in my house a few years back and broke the support bone in my left foot! Was 'plastered' for six weeks!! o_0 !!

Take care and enjoy your workshop!

Oh and Congrats on your stamps being shown in the magazine with those gorgeous projects! :D

At least it wasn't your whole foot Jennie, trying to be possessive! But that doesn't help does it, sorry trying to cheer you up and failing miserably! Have a great time with Dina x

Obviously, you hop, skipped, and jumped right into that broken toe. Hope it mends soon. Have fun with Dina. I would like to meet her someday.

Gah Jennie, a broken big toe is a real trauma..you really have no idea how much you use a toe until it hurts like hell! Hope the resting *cough* and the DW workshop will make it feel a huge amount better. Aren't Sarah's samples fab...nothing without the stamps of course.
