I'm dreaming of a pink Christmas...

I have tried to make alternative tags for you , and this one is PINKish!!:)) I know Christmas is red green, gold, silver , every colour except pink! But I wanted something different and this suited the bill! I ran the tag through an embossing folder, and dragged a white dabber over it, and then added distress inks, spritzed and wiped off! The baubles are made from Tissue tape and punched out with a circle punch, and then alcohol inked.. Add pink ribbon.!

I cannot believe that tomorrow is Christmas Eve, and as per usual I havent wrapped a present, decorated the tree or much else for that matter! But I will, I always do, then it is into my pj's I( ihave no intention of doing much over Christmas Day!!) and no work for me for a couple of days! I will be back tomorrow with something special for you
Have a non stressful day!

Let it snow...

I am old enough to remember the snowy winter of 1962-63...oh come on I am not THAT Old!! lol, My Dad made a sledge out of an old tin tray and me and my sisters used it on the hill by our house! This December reminds me of that year , but I am afraid the days of tin trays have long gone! I mean how ridiculous would that be ...me on a tin tray sledging.. ooh YES! a great idea! I think I will find myself a tin tray..rofl!!! In the meantime I have travelled on the trains to North London, seen my Mum (who is on the mend slowly) , and met up with DD in London (boy there were long lines at St Pancras for Eurostar!)  come home to fresh falls of snow, and even had time to make another tag! I have to say on another note to everyone who is snowed in we are still taking orders on the website and everything that goes out this week will be recorded, so we can track it.. doesn't mean you will get it any quicker , just so we can see you have got it! ..eventually....
Here is my tag for the day: ddistress ink background, embossed tag, Stickers from Seasonal Sticker book, and a little snowman charm covered in snow dabber!

Have a creative day !
Keep warm....

Tag 6 ish

For those of you bright enough to realise , yesterday's tag was actually number 5 , and so today I am blogging tag number 6... actually really does it matter?... I am creating and having a bit of snowbound fun! I really should be making cards..not that they will be going anywhere..the post in the UK is pretty awful with packages stuck in sorting offices, and snow thick on the ground in most places! I heard along the grapevine there isn't much in Hel's country!! lol, but she is making tags too, and giving them away.. just check out here!
Today's tag is is of the old-fashioned type.. a bit aged round the edges with a gorgeous ( not made by me..salvaged cones and bauble hanging) I used antique linen distress ink to colour with aged mahogany to edge. I added a Tim Holtz Merry Christmas in Barn Door Distress ink, and then clear embossed. The holly leaves were inked in distress ink greens, and a little bit of stickles made up the holly berries.

I have shown you mine, so if you have been making tags..come on show me yours....and add it to the sidebar linky thingy to win goodies!
I am off today to brave the cold and snow.. ( who am I kidding?..I have thick boots, gloves.. coat, scarf, hat...lol) to see my mum.. so I may not be back ... here's praying the trains don't get stuck on the ice...the roads stay clear, and the snow stays away! I expect I am living in lala land.. but am keeping my fingers crossed x
Keep warm.. and be creative!

Tag 444! snowbound!

This is tag no 444! OK I am lying..it is only tag 4 of my withdrawal...not sure why as I thought I had done a tag everyday since T!m's gorgeous tags, but seem to be lagging behind! lol The snow heavens opened yesterday here, and we are surrounded by gorgeous white stuff! Sadly I am not able to get to see my Mum who is in hospital, so hoping to get there tomorrow. Mind you the trains are running.. that is in itself a miracle but she has ordered me not to make the trip! Think that was the influence of the morphine... so I have obeyed and been a good girl! For those of you who sent their wishes, thank you it is much appreciated, and there is a long way to go..but all is good at the moment :)
In the meantime while snowbound, I made a little tag. This time I used an embossing folder of the Snowman. I embossed it once on a tag and cut out the snowman in negative, and laid it on top of a distress inked tag, and just used a pearl dabber to make out the snowman before running the inked tag back through the embossing die. Does that make sense? I was going to clear emboss some snowflakes on the tag, but horror! I cannot find my pot of clear embossing powder! Mislaid in the piles of *stuff* filling my studio!! So I dabbered them instead!
Add a sticker from the seasonal sticker pad .. snow has come to my tags!!

I am entering this in Simon Says Stamp & Show Challenge as well as my own ( not that I can win anything...but it is just fun!)
Keep warm
Hugs

Colour Christmas Red and Green!

It is cold here in the UK with snow in some parts, and heading our way in the south east tomorrow!! I am snuggled up, not! and not sure if I can cope with another bout of snow where the council can't clear the roads, and everything grinds to a halt!!  Christmas is only a week away (HELP!!)  and I still have lots to do, and yes I am keeping up with my tags for the Tag withdrawal challenge, albeit that I might be blogging them a little slow...lol
Today I have made the most simplest of tags using one of Tim's Alterations embossing folders ( Merry Christmas and Vintage Holiday). So simple, just emboss it on the tag, and colour with Distress inks. (err I used red and green!) and add a small amount of Perfect Pearls powder in gold on the top half, add a red sparkly ribbon, and secure with sewing .. I can still see to thread a a needle ! result!

On a sadder note, my Mum has to go into hospital tomorrow for a major operation, so although I have done another tag for tomorrow, I have no idea what next week will bring,  but the challenge is open until after Christmas ( you can even enter your Tim tags if you are still making them, and I know some people are :)) and I will be round to see them.
Have a creative day!
