I am old enough to remember the snowy winter of 1962-63...oh come on I am not THAT Old!! lol, My Dad made a sledge out of an old tin tray and me and my sisters used it on the hill by our house! This December reminds me of that year , but I am afraid the days of tin trays have long gone! I mean how ridiculous would that be ...me on a tin tray sledging.. ooh YES! a great idea! I think I will find myself a tin tray..rofl!!! In the meantime I have travelled on the trains to North London, seen my Mum (who is on the mend slowly) , and met up with DD in London (boy there were long lines at St Pancras for Eurostar!) come home to fresh falls of snow, and even had time to make another tag! I have to say on another note to everyone who is snowed in we are still taking orders on the
website and everything that goes out this week will be recorded, so we can track it.. doesn't mean you will get it any quicker , just so we can see you have got it! ..eventually....
Here is my tag for the day: ddistress ink background,
embossed tag, Stickers from
Seasonal Sticker book, and a little snowman charm covered in
snow dabber!
Have a creative day !
Keep warm....

Gorgeous tag, recognise those trees, lol!! Glad you got to visit your Mum and she is recovering.
(have linked my tag as you suggested!)
Another great tag Jennie !!
I too remember that winter. We were snowed in at my Grandparents in Chelesfield for 3 weeks, but I had great fun creating snowmen and like you using a tin tray as a sledge. Great times!
Great tag, glad you mum is on the mend.
Glad your mum is doing ok, and that you made it there and back safely, love todays tag, i so NEED that embossing folder.. i feel a little spend coming on after christmas, no point now as i've not had any post for a week!!! lol
My Dad built us an igloo when we were little! That was the seventies though. Apparently we could be moving into that same weather pattern from the sixties - hot summers, cold winters. The guy on the radio used the words 'oscillating' and 'atlantic' as the reason - I thought at the time it would make for a great journal page but now I can't remember what he said! Fab tag, want to see photos if you do slide down a hill on a tin tray ;)
Great tag Jennie, looking out for you flying by on your tin tray! sorry to read your Mum is poorly, hope she gets well soon. Have a good Christmas x
Fun tag!
I remember those days!! :)
I also remember the winter of 1975 in Indianapolis Indiana. 9 below zero when I got on the greyhound bus and headed to southern california where it was 90 degrees at the Santa Monica beach when I arrived!
Well thats poshness for you a real tin tray.......we only had a cardboard box..........result...wet knickers......
Glad your mum is improving, such a relief for you. Great tag. Annette x
Stunning tag, Jennie!
In the 62/63 winter, we all went out to help clear the roads and pavements. We took the ashes from the fires out to scatter on the road to give extra grip. If anyone was stuck, all the neighbours helped. Now we have no ashes and most people look after themselves - with some noteable exceptions. It would be good to get back to the "old-fashioned" values and caring - I am sure that crafters lead the way in this, always helping each other.
This is my fav tag, I love it! Glad to hear your Mum is on the mend and you got to spend some time with your DD. I say you break out the tin tray and get your sled on, but please video it if you do :) Enjoy the winter, stay safe!
PS. have you finished shopping? Me not so much, even with all of your helpful reminders, boo!
oh no more snow? you made our news station today with all the snow you have there!! so glad you had a chance to see your mom!
