It's Friday and that means a giveaway!

I like Fridays! It means the weekend is almost upon us, and in my case this weekend, I get to see lots of lovely people, and host a workshop taught by Leonie Pujol! We do still have a couple of places left for the morning one, if you fancy a great time getting inky and messy with Leonie :) You can call the shop on 01795 597757 and speak to Mal who will very happy to help you :)))
Here is a sneaky peek of one of her projects ( which she never reveals.. so I feel very honoured, thank you Leonie)

On another note, Fridays often means in our case new stamps, and this time Donna has created some very eclectic stamps, one being this Mail Art Me stamp which is perfect for embossing and colouring , and adding to your journal pages. To see the other ones check them out here.

I thought because it is almost the weekend, you might like to win this stamp too? So just add your comment, and I will pick a winner on Monday,  and if you share , I will add you again.. 2 chances...maybe it is your lucky weekend?
Have a very creative day

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday....137

Now I could be a great big liar, and tell you that my desk is overflowing with works in progress, and that I cannot show you anything...or I could say that I am having the winter blues, or that I have been too busy doing the dreaded paperwork this week, and post a picture of my desk from last week. In fact, my desk hasn't been used at all since last week, as all the above are true in some form or another! VAT, tax forms, wip, orders and workshop prep means that I really haven't got an inkpad out since last week... feeling very uninked! LOL. I have, however, got a desk or two to show you from my workshop on Saturday at Pickleberry, which is closely followed this Saturday by one at Jendenink near Fareham (there a couple of spaces left if you fancy a day of getting inky). So this is my play space this week,
with the wonderful girls who spent time creating something similar to this,

and then there was this and THIS is a work in progress! A Tattered Floral die Rose that has the faux porcelain technique applied to it on top of a tag I managed to throw together on Saturday while teaching a technique!

If you think that I have waffled long enough about desks, then head yourselves over to Mrs Dunnit's to see lots and lots more desks, and apologies to all who popped in last week, I never got a moment to pop by yours. Hope to do better this week!
Have a very happy woyww day!

Woyww....change of scenery

This week, I thought it would be fun, and different to show one of my workshops from the weekend, actually both of them! I mean technically they are my desks, in a different place, and at a different time, but still a workdesk! So here are rather a lot of pictures of a very large desk with lots of busy creative artists! We made a alcohol ink book the first day, and a configurations box the next, and it was great fun with lots of chocolate, copious amounts of tea, and biscuits!
so neat and tidy, then this happened...lol
and then this...
and then the end results were stunning

How fabulous is this splatter alcohol ink work :)), and how creative are these boxes?

Here is my box...

I had a great weekend at It's Crafting Time, and a big thank you goes out to all the girls who came and were creative! Gorgeous work!
If you haven't the foggiest what on earth I am waffling on about, pop over to the lucsious Julia, Queen of desks, and find out! It is great to be nosy!!
Happy Woywwing!!

woyww...the fairy has been...

and whisked my desk into the place where it will be magically tidied up and sent back to me all clean and tidy! Actually it is buried under piles of uncut rubber and last years Christmas tags and more, and really is too disgusting to show you, so instead I have shown you my wall of stamps ( taken with my phone camera, so apologies for the slightly out of focus shot) . These are my stock, so that when anyone orders, I can whisk them into the envelopes or box pronto! It is like having a shop, but sadly it is only stock with no visitors :((((

This week's wonderful insight into those places you never thought you would see is brought to us all by Julia every week on a Wednesday come rain or shine! Never joined in, then you must! I insist!! lol
I am doing a bit of my blatant advertising here today too, and we have a couple of spaces on my Christmas Curio workshop on Sunday at It's Crafting Time just outside Cambridge, and you will get a whole lot to do , and a  wonderful lunch too!

If you are interested please either call Nina at the shop 01763 262417  or myself on 01795 531860. We would love to see you there:))
I did manage a few of the woyyw desks last week, and aim to do more this week...so see you at your place :))

Totally wireless, and two great workshops!

I promised I would tell and show you last weekend when I taught 2 classes at It's Crafting Time near Cambridge. I taught my utee ring book on Saturday and a mixed Media class on Sunday, and it was great fun, interspersed with gorgeous cakes and giggles, and fabulous creations!
Two of the gorgeous books created

 workshop Saturday

 Workshop Sunday

Nina was the hostess with the mostest and invited me to stay in her lovely home. We went on a trip up the river Cam in a punt on Saturday night which was great with ghostly tales told by the man with the pole! lol

Ghostly punting
and for those of you who are wondering about the missing wire... here is the story... get up at 5am on Saturday..coffee, bath, do hair, dress, get in car , drive to Cambridge , with stop on way for Starbucks Frappucino ( just loving I can get these on the motorways now!!). Arrive at shop, set up, start to teach workshop. Nothing new in that.. normal..until ( now this is for those who wear bras ( I am certainly not a 60's girl burn your bra etc!) .. I feel that uncomfortable, think I might have a wire coming out of my bra, feeling under my arm. I am teaching here, so do I excuse myself and go and fix it, or do I carry on? I go fix it, and it isn't fixable, so out it comes! The rest of day is brilliant, and we go punting, and out to dinner, and fall into bed , sleeping instantly! do you have any idea where this is going.. no me neither, but in the morning I asked Nina for some sewing kit so I could mend my bra so at least I didn't look too bad for the next class! I couldn't get the wire back into the bra, so Nina did it for me. Looked brilliant , until I said isn't it in the wrong side? at which point I realised I didn't have one on the other side either! Now, what I really need to know is how come I didn't notice that I was missing the other wire???? I mean how can you not know???  I went totally wireless for the entire weekend!! lol  I know I am wafty at the best of times, but I now know that I have completely lost the plot, so if you are coming to one of my workshops, you can tell me with pleasure that I am completely nuts!! So do you go wired or wireless? lol
Thank you to everyone who came to the workshops, it was a pleasure to teach you , and to Nina who was a brilliant hostess., and if you would like to meet the complete wireless body, I am doing more workshops this weekend at Sharon's Card Crafts, and I will be back in Cambridge on the 14th November for a Christmas Curio box workshop.

Blackout!

Yesterday I woke up to complete darkness..  No lights, no heating , no hot water, no telephone and worse of all no Internet or computer for me to post my woyww !! how could this happen???? lol .. We had a blackout or power outage , as they say in the USA for over 13 hours, and boy it was weird! Not sure I would want to endure that for too long, as I remember the brown outs in the 70's!! yes I am that old... what do you mean you thought I was only 21? rofl
It did mean that all my Internet orders went unattended yesterday, and we cooked toast over the gas flame for breakfast and boiled water in a saucepan.. thank goodness we have a gas hob!
I am absolutely a 21st century girl!
I know you are immediately, but you could have crafted, and yes I did, but I worked my journal for a while in the morning, and came up with this using my new Aquamarkers that I acquired a while ago , and the lightbulb stamps, and some Maya Road chipboard.

Journals are brilliant, as they allow you to make mistakes, and write down your inner thoughts , if you want to. Mine is slow going, and I always forget to take it with me on my travels!
The electrics are back on now, and I think we were quite lucky as apparently there was gas leak near an electric box, so they switched it off so we didn't go sky high!
I am not sure if I have introduced you to the latest member of our Creative Team, but you have to go and take a look at Sioux's gorgeous ATC on the Creative Team blog. It is stunning!

On that note I am off to pack up my orders, and prepare for my workshop weekend at It's Crafting Time near Cambridge... along with teaching I am doing a spooky punt up the river too! hope to get photos and show you next week!
Have a Creative day

Workshop updates

I do hope you are having a good Monday Bank holiday.. me: I am working some of it.. and having some time off tomorrow to visit one of my favourite places- Hastings! Felt there might not be so many crowds on the roads or even on the seafront tomorrow! lol
I have several workshops coming up for the next month, and beyond, and if you fancy a play day with me, all the information is here! You could come along and play with utee and metal and Tim's dies at Pickleberry Papercrafts on Saturday September 11th

If you are coming along to Artisan, you can also make an altered mini suitcase with me on both days.
I also have play days ( ooh so lucky to call them those..lol not that I get to play much...but you do!) at It's Crafting Time near Cambridge on Saturday and Sunday October 23rd and 24th.... The information and contacts are down the side of this blog or on this page..
Come and have fun with me!
Hope you are having a very Creative Monday

Candid camera!

It is not often that I let myself be photographed, I have a tendency to hide or avert my face... but I was sent some leaflets for the Artisan show on Oct 1st and 2nd at Leamington Spa, and I have been sending them out to unsuspecting victims!. However, I just put them in the envelopes, and just glanced at the leaflet, not taking much in, until OH said had I seen that I was in the leaflet? Moi? No! I hadn't! Oh my!, I was featured largely!!! We did the show last year and it is a great show, new, but a great venue, with very friendly people, and set in the countryside just outside Leamington Spa. But to be in their leaflet was , errr in my mind, so embarrassing, but such an honour! Note the nail polish... I have chosen a new colour for this year..lol
I am doing workshops both days and you can book them if you want to. We are going to make an altered mini suitcase to keep those ATC's or trinkets.. you can book it here.
If you cannot make Artisan, we will be at Stamperama on 15th August, Ally Pally on 25th and 26th September and Port Sunlight on 9th October. I also have several workshops too going on during these months at various shops. You can find all the details here.
Have a Creative day!
