Wind beneath my wings

The sun is shining, , and it is a long weekend, and I am supposed to be tidying my shed...but I got waylaid by this piece calling out to me to be made, and it fitted perfectly with Hels's Sunday Stamper challenge which is to include wings!
I took one of the Idea-ology Fractured dolls, and wondered if I could drill a hole in the top of it..oh yes, but be careful, as they are resin, and you should wear a mask to do it! Add a bag full of blue alcohol ink, shake it in it, and dry. I stamped on some white tissue paper one of the Calligraphy mats and glued it onto the doll. My magically wonderful hot glue gun, was perfect for attaching the Ideaology wings, and my Angel of the North was finished.. perfect for a necklace or a keyring or just a charm!

Thank you Hels for the challenge...
Have a very Happy Easter day!

An ideal treasure chest !

It's the weekend ! Yah.. time for me to stop work and play! that's in my dreams, but for the past couple of weeks, I have been slowly making this box. It was very kindly given to me by Hels, and to be truthful, I have sort of pinched the idea from her :(, mainly to store my idea-ology in, just as she has!!! I am such a collector of boxes, and often I never do anything with them, but this so called out to me....so I got to use lots and lots of Terra all over it. I stamped into it with a calligraphic mat. I let it dry. I sprayed it with lots of blue mica sprays. I added mother of pearl Precious metal colour in some parts, and I sprayed the inside. I finally got to use my Idea-ology feet too!! I filled it with idea-ology!!
Have a great Saturday, and stay creative!

Happy Valentine's Day

Today is the day of lovers all over the world, and I have a WINNER for the blog candy!

Please email me your snail mail address, so I can send you all the goodies.
I am off today to visit a friend , and then go and visit "Stitches" , the trade show for the craft world here in the UK, so hoping to find some new goodies to buy for the shop...
I am sorry I haven't been around much this week, but have been so busy preparing from Farnborough Make it show next weekend, and generally doing other stuff, that needed to be done! ( more of this in a later post) If you are thinking of coming to Farnborough, stop by and see us at the booth (The Stamp Connection) or book to do a workshop.
Here is a little ATC for you that I came across hiding in a drawer a while ago. It is in a series of 4 that I have done, and I will blog the others on my return.

The technique is simple. Alcohol ink the background. Stamp one of my nudes, and then stamp over with a Calligraphic mat. Voila!
Enjoy your weekend

A Birthday Card

Hi, I thought I would show you a Birthday Card I made last week( it has arrived so can show you now!) I used chipboard flowers and a large Tag too from The Artistic Stamper.
I used Crafty Individuals papers to cover the Tag. They are the smoothest papers I have used in years, and work perfectly with the chipboard.
I painted pearlescent powder paints on the flowers, and then stamped over them with one of The Artistic Stamper Calligraphy Mats. These are unmounted dies of various scripts that have been in the catalogue for many years and are some of the most versatile stamps I know.
I was quite pleased with the effect and I know the recipient liked it (I think :))
