woyww-for Sarah

I know today is What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday, and I should be showing a picture of my desk, but as I learnt yesterday of the sudden and untimely passing of Sarah Lawrence from Craftynotions, I thought I would dedicate today's post to her.
Sarah and I had a working relationship, which always involved lots of long phone calls ( she loved to talk!) and from time to time we would see each other at shows. I had the pleasure of having her demonstrate for me on one or two occasions, and her banter and dedication to her craft was infectious! She had a heart of gold, and loved to impart knowledge and to give.. a girl after my own heart. I will miss her terribly, as will hundreds of other people, and my heart goes out to David, Tom and Fran.
Sarah, may your desk stay messy and forever creative. I shall miss you ... "toodle-pip" my friend.

I shall miss her Jenny. I was introduced to freestyle embroidery by Sarah and a few yrs after she was the push behind my taking it to C&G lvl. Through Sarah I had the delight to be put in touch with many wonderfull wonderfull people who helped me reach the stage where I now combine creative embroidery with papercrafts.

The world has lost one of the brightest stars in the textile world, such enthusiasm and a drive to share her skills.

Sleep easy Sarah.

Such a tragic loss. I cannot begin to imagine what her family are going through, and so close to a festive time too.
I met Sarah a long time ago at Paddy's and what a lovely lady she was. As she grew in her popularity she never changed, she was always the same, ready for a chat and with that wonderful smile of hers whenever you saw her.
She will be missed by so many - now a bright star in God's heaven.

Lovely tribute to Sarah who I was lucky to meet earlier this year when she was demoing at Abakhan Fabrics in North Wales. I had bought stuff from her shop many times and visited her blog frequently as well as watching her on Create and Craft so when I met her I already felt I knew her and we had a good long chat. She had a cheeky smile and was generous with her time and talent, she will be missed.

So very sorry to hear of Sarahs passing, I too had a long conversation on more than one occasion, she was warm, very creative and very dedicated to her crafting. I am left with nothing more to say than my thoughts are with her loved ones at their time of great loss.
