For my last post for the wonderful, creative Gingersnap Creations have a little hop, skip and jump over to here, and have a look at what I created for them!

I am off to Cambridge this weekend for a weekend of workshops, so will be back Monday with photos, if I remember my camera and the batteries don't run out!!

Back to Basics...

When the mojo goes on holiday, it is always hard to find a starting point to kick it back into life! For me I often go back to basics... a little normal stamping or some embossing. Over on Gingersnap Creations I have a mini tutorial for you using just these techniques. Please pop over and have a little look and tell me what you think.. I love comments :))

Have a very Creative weekend

A cracking little box

Today is the day I do a tutorial on Gingersnap Creations, and I was really pleased with the little box that I created for the tutorial. I have found photographs really often do not do some artwork justice, and this little beauty is extremely tactile, so much so that if I touch it anymore  all the crackle will fall off! Do go and check out how I made it, and at the same time have a look at some of the other brilliant tutorials and challenges on Gingersnap!
Have a creatively sunny Saturday

It is always a pleasure...

to go to work...Let me explain..once a month at I do a workshop at Pickleberry Crafts. Today's is using Grungepaper, as the wonderful girls I teach requested it! I have no problem teaching this as I just love the medium, and because it works so wonderfully with the rose technique, this is what I will be teaching, along with other things too, of course! Over on Gingersnap Creations, I have done a tutorial showing you how to make the roses. I know a lot of you do make them, but it is always good to get a refresher! lol
Here is a sneak peek of the project I shall be making with everyone today. If you would like to do this workshop, I am repeating it at Sharon's Card Crafts on September 18th.
Back tomorrow with some fun from the workshop, if I remember to take my camera! Have a creative day!

Mad Hatter Blog Hop

Welcome to the Gingersnap Creations’ Mad Hatter’s Day Hop and Hop Stop #10!
The Gingers are celebrating Mad Hatter Day and hope that you will hop along with us!
If you’ve already been hopping then hopefully you have just come from Sharon. If you are starting here, welcome! It's a loop so you can start anywhere along the way!
At stops #2 through #9, you will need to collect a word! There are 10 stops in all starting and ending with the Gingersnap Creations blog where you can get all the specific information and get a peak at the the goodies in the Mad Hatter Giveaway.
When you get all your words, 8 in all, unscramble them to form a quotation from the beloved classic, Alice in Wonderland. Once you have your guess at the quote, email it and your name to gingersnapstamp@gmail.com by June 25, 2010. We will be picking one lucky winner at random from the correct entries to win the Mad Hatter package! We’ll let you know who won on June 29, 2010.
If you visit all the stops, you should end up right back at Gingersnap Creations with 8 words! Unscramble the words to come up with the correct quote and email it on to gingersnapstamp@gmail.com. That's all there is to it!
I don't have a word for you to collect, but I do have a hint! The quote you are looking for can be found in Chapter 7 of Alice in Wonderland, "A Mad Tea Party".
Your next stop on the hop is Gingersnap Creations where you can find out all the details and get an outline of the entire route. Have fun and good luck!

The early bird catches the worm..

It is official I am hooked on birds! In fact I am hooked on the Sizzix die Caged Bird, designed by the illustrious Mr Holtz of the USA. I am sure regular readers of my blog know that I run with a theme, and then drop it like a hot potato, but I have found lots of uses for the bird die, and today I have done a tutorial using the bird over on Gingersnap Creations. To find out more fly over to Gingersnaps, and join in the fun. Here is a sneak peek...

I am writing this a couple of hours before I wing my way over to Pickleberry (can I find more birdie words..lol) for a mixed media workshop I am giving, which includes more birds, and which I will show you tomorrow.
Hugs to you

Take a little Time!

Over on Gingersnap Creations, I have done a tutorial that involves utee, and a wooden frame, some mica sprays, and a bit of imagination! You can also get the chance to see some wonderful artwork by some talented artists, and if you comment you will get a chance to win the frame too!
I do hope that you like the tutorial, and I am off today to teach a distress ink workshop, so have to go get dolled up! ( that means a pair of jeans, and my trusty apron, oh and a top of course, just in case you wondered..lol)
Have a Creative day!
