I am Shrinking!

One of my favourite products of all time , excluding UTEE, Alcohol inks, distress inks..lol is Shrink Plastic! It has been around ever since I can remember and I often forget about it. It is a brilliant medium to use for embellishments, and jewellery. I have a couple of workshops using it, one coming this next weekend at It's Crafting Time near Cambridge, and one later in the month at Pickleberry Papercrafts, near Faversham kent.  Here is a little snippet of one of the projects we will be making....

Come sewing with me!

Yesterday I did an very intimate workshop with Kate, Rosemary and Caroline, and everybody worked very hard using lots of great products and learning to sew!! lol

Actually this workshop involved no sewing, just threading, and over on The Artistic Stamper Creative Team, I given a few of the techniques of the workshop. Thank you girls for a fab day, I was thoroughly exhausted when I got home! Love out of a box!

Yesterday's workshop was a great deal of fun, and my four ladies had a ball creating their PURPLE!!!! love boxes! Unbelievably they all chose purple as a colour, while of, course I chose red! lol We sprayed and waxed and uteed to our hearts content! I have posted a few of the elements with some instructions over on The Artistic Stamper Creative Team blog with lots of pictures too!
I love that you can use the Idea-ology Configuration boxes any way you like. Here is mine, and here are the girls too! We even finished them this time!! lol If you ever get to one of my classes , you will know I cram more techniques and stuff into them than is possible in several hours!!

Shrink and show me!

I have finally finished my long summer and Autumn of shows and workshops! I have one more workshop  on December 4th using Claudine's gorgeous eclectic stamps, and a wonderful make and take at Pickleberry , in aid of Demelza House on the 2nd December. We would love to see you there and you get to make one of my wooden angels, sample the mulled wine ( hic!) and gorge out on mince pies!



I was up at Pickleberry this afternoon, and just had to show you what Kate created over the weekend. I just adore the use of the inspiration jars and lightbulbs using shrink plastic (courtesy of Julie) . How sweet are they?

Do you believe in Angels?

Can you hear me singing Robbie William's song? You really don't want to, I am all out of key and flat as a pancake, but it is a very appropriate song for this card which is for the Something hidden challenge over on The Artistic Stamper's Creative Team blog. It is one of the cards that I made for Saturday's Christmas Cards with a Twist workshop, and we had such a great time, and some wonderful cards were created by the girls. Thank you for giving me pleasure teaching you all.

Jingle bells.. jingle bells..

I have been busy making Christmas cards for my workshop today, and all the while I have been singing in my head Christmas songs! Santa baby is a frequent one! I love Christmas and the build up to it, and this year is no exception. I just wish that the days weren't so dark so early, and that the sun shone a bit more, but in Santa's words..hey ho!!
My ladies are in for a treat today, and if you are reading this early and want to come along, there are a couple of places left. Just come to Pickleberry Papercrafts near Faversham for 10am.
I always play with all mediums when creating for a workshop, and this one has Ten Seconds Studio metal  in pink and coloured with some Viva Decor paints for a base, some of Tim's Alterations , and an on the Edge die. The stamp used is from Tim's Holiday Wishes set.

I am off to get myself dolled up to meet my public.. that is getting on my old jeans, an old shirt and my apron, so I don't get messy!! you didn't expect me to come in my party dress, did you? rofl.

Christmas comes early!

Yesterday at Pickleberry Papercrafts, I taught a class that was just so much fun, and mess, and full of lots of goodies. In my normal fashion, I had the most inordinate time remembering names, ( and there were only 7 ladies!! doh what am I like?) I had the pleasure of meeting Doone (Donna) , Carmen ( Miranda! lol), Lizzie, Barbara, Rosemary ,Megan, and Ann. I have actually remembered your names , girls! Hurrah!

We made a curio Christmas box full of goodies I have collected for the past few months, and we played with paint, mica sprays, Terra, UTEE, Tim's Rosette die ( thank you to Wendy Vecchi for the Christmas Tree :)), mini books, stamps and of course Crackers! Where would a workshop be without crackers?  Actually the Cracker part of it was for the final little box . ( it is empty on my sample) , and  I didn't get a picture of the final pieces as we ran late , as always!

A hot time was had by all!

On Saturday I did a meltpot class with some gorgeous girls at Pickleberry Papercrafts. We had such a good workshop, and everyone behaved themselves! lol. WE set out to make a ring bound book or jouranal using moulds, and utee, and meltpot, and stamps, but everyone ended up with different pieces, and I think everyone made them into something different! I love it when that happens! Here is mine, and here is a picture of everyone holding up their absolutely fab creations! Spot the box of chocolates brought in my Kate's husband for us... yummy and such a lovely thought:)) Thank you girls for making it a great workshop.

Will be back later today with a creation..if I get time!

A grungy time was had by all..

in yesterday's class! We played with grungepaper all day, making the ubiquitous rose, and tattered florals, got inky and painty, and very grungy! I had a wonderful time teaching, and a big thank you to everyone.. it was fun as always :) Here are some of the gorgeous creations everyone made, and as most people know my capacity for names is atrocious, (one of the traits of having hormones at silly ages!), so ladies thank you, I just adored what you did! The inspiration in teaching always makes me smile, and go home with a grin on my face :)

It is always a pleasure...

to go to work...Let me explain..once a month at I do a workshop at Pickleberry Crafts. Today's is using Grungepaper, as the wonderful girls I teach requested it! I have no problem teaching this as I just love the medium, and because it works so wonderfully with the rose technique, this is what I will be teaching, along with other things too, of course! Over on Gingersnap Creations, I have done a tutorial showing you how to make the roses. I know a lot of you do make them, but it is always good to get a refresher! lol
Here is a sneak peek of the project I shall be making with everyone today. If you would like to do this workshop, I am repeating it at Sharon's Card Crafts on September 18th.

Free as a Bird!

Saturday was another one of my workshops at Pickleberry Crafts. I thought I would share with you some of the photos I took. The workshop was a multi media workhop, and we made a mirror incorporating lots of different techniques, which involved,collage, mica sprays, utee, Tim's dies,grungeboard, metal, distress inks, sticky back canvas, in fact almost everything you could think of!
