WOYWW 173..from a different perspective

It is official, the only posts I seem to do at the moment are those of What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday! It has become habit forming, and every Tuesday I work out that the last time I posted was last Wednesday! that is not good :( . But I have been creating and I have a post due on the Creative Team on Saturday...watch this space! When did I make anything last? Well it was on Saturday and Sunday at The Big Stamp & Scrapbooking Show at Ally Pally, and this is my desk ...note the small space left to create in! and sustenance in the form of a diet coke can!  It was great weekend and I got to play with stamps, and sprays and lots of gilding Flakes..lovely! oh, and of course meet some of the woywwers, and other friends :)

Thank you to Julia as always..she is definitely the hostess with the mostest! Pop along and see all the wonderful creative desks...
Have a very Happy WOYWW

Foiled by the time!

I have failed miserably in trying to post on my blog...time is just running away with me, and if I was honest with you, the fact that I am surrounded by beautiful stash, and gorgeous stamps makes it harder. At the weekend, I got to play with gilding flakes, and glue and Dylusions Sprays, and stamps.. demoing at The Big Stamp & Scrapbooking Show! We had a blast, even though the floor was more than exceptionally hard, (feet were sore), but I love the shows, and I even went shopping! LOL.. Here are my wonderful helpers...Kat and the man with the till! sorry board!!

I thought I would show you one of my tags which I started, but needs finishing ( or what do you think?!). Sprayed with Dylusions, gilded within an inch of it life, stamped with Journaling words, and check out the size. it is a GIANT tag..they are the new love of my life! LOL

WOYWW 172....from the top

This will be the shortest post in the history of my What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday! I am very busy getting ready for the Big Stamp & Scrapbooking Show at Ally Pally this weekend, amongst other stuff, but I had to just show you the newest stamps from woywwer Donna! Here they are on my desk ready for mounting and playing with at the weekend. I have ideas.. will they work?..possibly if I get time to try them out..if not I shall be trying them on Saturday and Sunday at the show!! and if you are wondering what the “meet the mascots” is ..try the Olympics! ..missing those days badly..lol

Our First Workshop!

Yesterday, we held our first ever workshop at The Artistic Stamper Craft Store and Art Bar! It will be the only workshop in this space, as today Mal has sledgehammer and Chisel in his hand, as I type, knocking down the wall to make it a lovely big and airy space! I cannot wait!!
In the meantime yesterday I was joined by Donna, Lizzie, Rosemary, Carol, Liz and Sandra in our first ever workshop in our new home. We laughed and chatted and created. Oh yes and we ate ! Chocolate muffins which were made by the lovely Lizzie! Yum! How can you have a workshop without cake?! Altered books were the name of the day :)

WOYWW 171- Missing Mrs Dunnit!

It seems that the only blog posts I have been doing regularly , and even that is a bit erratic, is What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday. Now it isn't for lack of trying, but more of time.. that errant feature in my life that has been slipping away from me recently! I know that there will be more time to create soon, but it is getting frustrating, and I haven't even got time to blog hop.. very naughty of me!
Even more remise of me, was that I was away doing a pre-arranged workshop for one of my wholesale customers- Jendenink, and who should turn up in the shop on Saturday but Mrs Dunnit!! That’s right! she of the WOYWW fame!! I was mortified when Mal told me she had arrived, and sorely upset that I didn’t get to see her. You see every time Julia comes to see me, I am away from my post! We will meet one day! ( perhaps I should ask her to come and do a workshop? What do you think?) Julia, I PROMISE to be there next time Smile
Do I have a desk to show you.. yes! but my camera was playing games on Saturday , and this picture of the calm before the storm is a bit blurry. What a fun workshop it was! 16 lovely ladies who all had a ball playing with their altered books.

I had a little play, and this is my niche for the day.

Hope you have a great woyww, hoping to blog hop over to you this week

WOYWW 170

It has been a long week, and today ( Tuesday) is quite warm, and this picture of my rather full desk, shows the lovely light coming through the venetian blinds. Piled high are the new Distress Metallics – a definite must have for any crafter, a pile of reinkers for the summer, winter, autumn and spring distress inks (I kind of acquired them , when sorting for the shop!) , some of the very new Crafters workshop stencils, and a large catalogue underneath it all, which I will get to read eventually! Oh , yes and the VERY LARGE tags that appeared yesterday brought by a man in a brown suit Smile If you spot other things they are just there by default! And yes! we are OPEN, just have to put the sign together and hang on our door!
I am kind of liking my desk at the moment, and Mrs. Mojo is slowly coming back….not absolutely sure where she has been, but I do like it that I can take the pace slowly, and get stuff done I quite like.

Why my desk? Simply it is because Mrs Dunnit has deemed it perfectly alright for us to show you our desks on a Wednesday. Pop along and check them out, especially if you have never encountered so many in one place! Perfect!
Hope to get round to a few desks this week….
Have a Happy woywwing day

Loving these metallics!

I just love it when new products hit the shelves! These brand new Metallic Distress stains are a definite must have! We have them in the shop, and on the website, and of course I just had to try them out :) What girl could say no?!
I did my favourite technique with them, and just splatted them onto a tag, added them to stamps from the Ephemera set, and a few of the Idea-ology mini cogs, and because they are splats they go just perfectly with our Creative Team challenge this month too!
See I have "checked", "fitted", and made sure they were "original" for you!!!
Check out the photo, as the craft Tag behind are the size #10 and the JUMBO tag is a Manila tag size #12...they are humongous!!!

If you want to see what else arrived from Ranger check out our new products page.
Hope you have a creative evening

Special Offers finishing tomorrow!

I have been a very bad blogger, but then I have an excuse! I must admit that the set up of the shop, and various other projects have left me very little time to create, and I fear Mrs Mojo has gone for a little holiday, enjoying a tad of sun, sea and sand!
I thought that I would remind you that The Artistic Stamper specials are all finishing tomorrow, and we will have some new ones next month. The TenSeconds Studio Moulds are half price!

Can you believe September is just around the corner?! Eeek! that means the big "C" is looming!!
So if you fancy a real bargain check out these pages, and get your order in quick!
I promise to be back with a vengeance in September with my mojo nice and recuperated!
have a much more creative day than me :)

Opening Day.. with bells on it!

Yesterday Mal and I opened The Artistic Stamper Craft Shop and Art Bar. We were overwhelmed by the wonderful number of people who came by, stopped for a while, shopped, had tea and cupcakes, and spent time chatting!

It was great fun, with a few minor hiccups…the credit card machine had a glitch, the new till had a bigger glitch,  and the fire alarm went off! Good practice in case of a real fire, but did anyone move? Of course not, they are crafters, and just carried on shopping!!! LOL

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came by, and to those who travelled a long way ,we had the bestest opening day! If you fancy popping by, we are open tomorrow Bank Holiday Monday from 10am till 3pm, with coffee, tea and cakes for you, a peek at our new crafting space, and a long look at our fun filled shop!

We are located at Unit 2, North Street Business Centre (on the Ashford Road) Sheldwich, Faversham ME13 0LN Opening Time Bank Holiday Monday 10-3pm Tuesday to Saturday 10 to 5pm Telephone 01795 597757
Hope to see you soon

WOYWW 168-Danger! Man at Work!

I have been busy, very busy, setting up our new bricks and mortar shop, so haven't posted in What's On Your Workdesk hosted by the delectable Julia, for a couple of weeks now! Well I could say I have been busy building, and sawing bits of wood, to add to my creative talents, but sadly the only thing I have done is hold them in place while Mal saws or drills!! Me, a duster and cloth is more appropriate! I thought it would easy and quick...no, it is taking time, but we WILL be ready to open those doors on Saturday, come hell or high water! Work in Progress , as they say :))
This is my workdesk this week, and if I don't pop by yours then forgive me, as I may be rather preoccupied!

Have a great woyww day

Getting ready for Stamperama

I am almost ready for Stamperama, a delightful stamping show in Stevenage on Sunday. All the stamps are made and packaged, everything else is almost boxed ( amazing how many boxes we have!) and I am waiting in for delivery of Dylusions sprays, which I will be demoing in a new way ( all will be revealed on Sunday!) I promise to be back on the blog next week with my demos and a little tutorial too. If you are coming along, it would be wonderful to meet you. Drop by and say hello :) Only sad that I will be missing the last 2 days of the Olympics, but my phone will be on constant update and I can watch it on there too! Who said technology sucks? LOL In the meantime here is a little taster tag for you... Studio Gesso spread thinly through a Crafter's Workshop mask, dried thoroughly with  Dylusions sprays on top...

WOYWW 165-on holiday

It’s that Day again- Wednesday, and I am up early , as I didn’t pre write this post, and while I listen to the early morning birdsong, and the passing distant traffic, I can imagine I am on holiday, sitting on warm sand with the sea lapping at my toes…sadly I am still at home, with the only water the sound of rain, and the only sand that of the pile of building sand in my garden! Still, I like Wednesdays as it is the day of What’s On Your Workdesk, and Julia’s take on the life of a scrapper Smile My desk does have a holiday theme, and we are celebrating over on The Creative Team blog this month, with a theme for the challenge of holidays and lots and lots of giveaways as it is our birthday… two years to be precise! Where did the time go? This is my desk with my mini suitcase, and a few bits and bobs that are piled ( not so high) this week on my desk! I will of course try to get round to your desk this week, in-between spending my holiday watching the Olympics ( I am a confessed Olympic addict!!) .

Have a very happy woyww day!

WOYWW 164...#savethesurprise

Wednesdays always brings a sort of surprise to me, that (a) they turn up so quick, and (b) that I get to see lots of crafty places in the world, courtesy of Mrs Dunnit's What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday blog hop. Now my desk is empty, and void of any new works. I admit I am not a sporty type of person... the most I do is raise a bottle of paint and spray it, but I do love the Olympics, and the last time I was forced to watch it all, as I had a broken arm!! Remember that? LOL but on Monday I was honoured to be invited to  watch the technical rehearsal of the Opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics! It was fabulous, and will be so worth seeing on Friday. The excitement was immense in the stadium, and I did take lots of pictures, but we were asked, and rightly so to not post any pictures on the net..#savethesurprise so watch this space ( and my facebook) for them after Friday! So, for the meantime here is my picture of the Olympic Stadium,

and for a bit of art here is Anish Kapoor's sculpture....which is actually quite, quite amazing..loved it!

Have a very Happy WOYWW day

Multi media box workshop

Last Saturday I had the pleasure, and pain ( LOL) of teaching my last workshop at Pickleberry Papercrafts. Kate has closed the shop, and is heading back up to the Midlands. As the girls who come to my workshop like it to be messy and with lots of techniques, I designed a box with 7 different techniques on it. We had lots of fun with alcohol inks, colour sprays, UTEE, Gesso, Paint dabbers, Terra and of course, Distress.

Thank you to everyone who came, and played. It was a pleasure as always teaching you :)
