June's Creative Challenge- Red, Blue & Yellow

Dear Neglected Blog and Blog Readers
I am so sorry I haven't posted on here for about 6 months. How terrible is that?!
I am back with a little post for our Creative Team Challenge for this month which is Red, Blue & yellow, and can be interpreted anyway you like, as long as it has rubber stamping in it.
You can find all the details here

I made a couple of tags, and started by scraping PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paints all over the tags.

I then added the same paint through a couple of  Artistic Stamper masks, and stamped with one of our calligraphic mats using Archival ink, adding swirls and circles too .

Check out the fact that red, blue and yellow are the primary colours, and therefore makes other colours!

I do hope that you like them, and please do join in our challenge, either on the blog or on Facebook.

I look forward to seeing your creations.
Have a creative day

Creative Team Challenge- Things with Wings

Dear neglected Blog readers,
I have been creating workshops, and working in the shop, and neglecting this poor old blog and my readers for quite some time! However this month, I have taken part in the Creative Team challenge , which is Things With Wings, and unbeknown to any of the team, we all chose the same stamp set! Dance is a conglomeration of ballet and wings and saying, and lends itself perfectly to this challenge!

I used a previously created tag, which was inked with Distress inks, and embossing powder through mask.

I then cut out the ballet dancer and added distress ink to her, plus some fine netting ( available in the shop only).

The wings were cut out of old dictionary paper.

Please do pop along to the Creative Team blog, and check out the other dancers :)

Have a very creative day

September Challenge- Autumn Colours

Oh my Gosh! or words to that effect!! I haven't posted anything on my blog since June!! I have no idea where the summer has  gone, but the lure of the sun, workshops, the shop, and general day to day workings of running your own company have obviously taken their toll!
Over on the Creative Team blog we have a new challenge where Autumn colours are prevailing!

I am back into my alcohol inks, and always love the effects they give. Here is a sneaky peek of my piece.

Do check out the rest of the team's creations, and we would love to see yours too!

Tag!- you're it!

Do you remember that game when you were at school? I certainly do, and I could never run fast enough !! lol. The workshop I taught on Saturday at the shop was full of tags, and lot of different distress products on different mediums, and was fun way to learn new ideas and surfaces. The girls all did fabulous tags, and I did a few.. well not many as I had already done them! Thank you to everyone who came along. Here are the girls hard at work,

and here is one of Sandra in her new best hat!! Sorry Sandra , just had to show it!!

I took a couple of scans of my tags, and thought I could enter them into the Creative Team Challenge , which this month is tags!

Well, OK, maybe not, but why not show us your tags? You can even be in with a chance to win £15.00 worth of Artistic Stamper stamps. Just have a look at the girls brilliantly creative tags here.

woyww... if music be the food of love

Hi, and prepare yourselves for a long post for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday . hosted by the uber organised Mrs Dunnit, and the stipulations of it are that you show your desk! Well mine is full of rubbish ( OK, crafty stuff!) and hasn't been touched since last week! Now should I own up and tell you that I have another desk? LOL. It is actually a space that is higher and I can stand at and use my meltpot, and heat gun. Not that comfortable for creating on... I haven't taken a picture of that either as it is now covered in paperwork! So instead I have a rosy heart I have made especially for our Creative Team Challenge which starts today, being that it is the 1st of February.. how did we get to the beginning of February without me noticing? Anyway I digress. I made lots of mini roses using Tim's Tattered Pine Cone die, and followed these instructions by Creations by Christie. I have to say that practise makes perfect, and I did a lot of practising on these!! To make them, I used Core-dinations paper, and layered some with Tim Holtz's Music Tissue wrap, and left some plain. I used a papier mache heart for the base, and made lots of the roses. All of them were sprayed with Perfect Pearl Mists in Interference Red, and some were dipped into clear UTEE in my meltpot, to make faux porcelain roses. I hot glued them onto the heart. The saying "if music be the food of love" comes to mind!

I do hope that after you have hopped over to Julia's to see all the other wonderful desks, that you will hop back to mine and have a look at the Creative Team's gorgeous heart creations!
Have a very Happy Woyww day.

Not only do we have The Creative Team challenge, but Tim's 12 Tags of Christmas start later this morning.. about 8am UK time, and I will be hoping to make each one every day...if I don't run out of steam!
I have made a tag in Tim style over on the Creative Team blog.  Loving all the gorgeous Christmassy creations!
Here is a sneak peek of mine.....

Don't forget to join in our challenge, and if you are creating the 12 tags, then please add every one you make...more chances to win :))
As a little extra to my wonderfully creative customers, this month we have a FREE stamp for every order placed, AND even more too... watch out for my next post.....

Autumn Colours-new Challenge for October

I cannot believe that it is October already! It is definitely an Indian summer with the temperatures in the mid eighties, and t shirts, sandals and sunglasses back out of the wardrobe! How can we even think about the new challenge over on The Creative Team blog of Autumn Colours? But you and I know that next week the leaves will turn the most gorgeous colours , and the weather will be back to normal, and we will have forgotten this glorious weather!
I have made a small square frame using the shabby chic technique with Dabbers, and one of our new stamps,( our special offer of the month) and added lots of leaves from the new Alterations die, appropriately named, Autumn Gatherings! I die cut several of the shapes in varying colours out of Core'dinations paper, and embossed some of them. Lots of Multi Medium Matte, and you have a appropriately named Autumn colours frame!

To see all of the Creative Team's amazing creations and join us in our challenge, just pop over to the blog:) This month to celebrate just over a year of challenges, we are giving away TWO sets of prizes!!
Have a creatively sunny day!
