Domino Jewellery

My first love has always been and always will be making jewellery. Often when I see an opportunity to make something I can wear or give to someone to wear, I will  turn it into a brooch or a pair of earrings.
Here are a couple of pieces that I made ages ago, and dug out of their hiding places to show you.
The first one is a regular plastic domino that has been coloured and edged with alcohol inks, and then stamped on top with black Stazon using the little girl from the Garden Plate. I then put a brooch back on it.
The second piece is made similarly, but using a domino piece of Stampbord. It has the daisy from Botanical Plate 1 stamped on to it. I edged this piece with white paint dabber. Again this has a brooch back on it.
These are not complicated pieces to make, in fact so simple, they take a matter of minutes, so are a great idea for a birthday or just a gift!

I love these, Jennie. I really ought to get my jewellery-making stuff and have a go - I've not done any for ages. I put a thank you to you on our Blog today, for being such an inspiration. You always give me such good ideas.

Gorgeous Jennie, I love the fact you left some white on the stampbord, I always seems to cover the whole piece, yours is very subtle x (and so kind of you to make it for me LOL)

Brilliant - I just love them. I have been making quite a number using your domino bamboo tiles, and am joining in, and hosting domino swaps too.

I love these, especially the stamp board one - you are so inspiring - it makes me want to get up and have a go.

Thank you Jennie - and a public than you for the blog candy.

Off to do some blog hopping to the other commentators on here.

Hi Jennie, these are simply stunning!!! Question for you....what glue do you use to stick the brooch pins onto the dominoes....& is there a particular make of brooch pins you use......despite various attempts mine just keep falling off....very annoying when you don't realise until you get home & you have lost the domino :( Janey xx

I love making these brooches - some of my efforts are on my blog :-) I used the small ivory dominos.

I love seeing other peoples work - they are all so different using the same sort of basics :-) Love the colours you used.
