One of my most favourite memories when I was a child, was winding up the singing bird in a gilded cage in my Grandma's house. I loved that bird, and for years I have always wanted one of my own. One of the stamps in the new collection evokes all those memories, and I can see the caged bird now, and hear it singing. This is the first time I have used this stamp, and I stamped it on a grungepaper Alteration styled label and distress inked it , while masking off the bird cage which I inked in yellow. A little bit of black enamel accent, some "wallpaper" lol , and I was back in Grandma's house playing with the bird!!!
Do you have a stamp that reminds of your childhood? I would love to hear about yours....
Have a creative day!

Smashing tag. My great grandma had a wind up singing bird in the summerhouse and I loved it also. Happy memories. Annette x
Super tagJennie, love your graduated background and the cage stamp is great !
Lovely tag and great stamp.
My Grandma had one of those same birds in the cage!!!, she would let us wind it up also. I remember it so well tweeting along.
oh forgot to tell you I Love your tag!
I love the thought of the singing birdy... love the tag too :O)) Sorry not been able to get here the past few days, got myself stuck in the recliner PMSL
Still laughing at Hels comments! But a lovely tag Jennie. It is a beautiful collection of stamps. My beach hut stamp, one of the first I bought, reminders me of the sea side at Southend where I lived for a short, happy, few years in my childhood.
fab tag!! My grandma used to give me colouring books filled with Sarah Kay images, now they are stamps so I have quite a few!! cant find the original colouring books tho
Beautiful tag! x
hello Jennie,
nice stamp you made of the birdhouse ! I must visit your shop again...
Do you have in your shop pre-orders for the new Tim stuff and maybe special offerings for European ATT-ers....? When do you expect the stuff to be in the UK ?
I can't make it to London like in April, but I don't want to wait for months for my stuff to arrive in Belgium...
greetings from belgium
Inge
Hello Jennie,
my favorite stamps are from the vintage children's toys I purchased some years ago at stampingground.
These remind me of some toys at my grandma's house.
greetings from Belgium
